Where did you go? How did you prepare/what was your pre-trip process? (i.e. plane tickets, hotel, etc.) Were you nervous/alone?
My first time visiting a new country was a thrilling experience! I went to Japan, a place I had always been fascinated by.
To prepare, I researched extensively online, learning about the culture, customs, and must-see attractions. I booked my plane tickets and accommodations in advance, opting for a mix of budget-friendly options and luxury experiences. I also purchased a Japan Rail Pass, which allowed me to travel easily throughout the country.
While I was a bit nervous about navigating a foreign language and unfamiliar surroundings, I was also excited to immerse myself in a new world.
I made sure to have all necessary documents, such as a valid passport and travel insurance, and downloaded helpful apps like Google Translate and Hyperdia (a Japanese train schedule app).
As a solo traveler, I was initially apprehensive about exploring alone, but I soon found that Japan was incredibly welcoming and safe.
I made friends with fellow travelers and locals alike, and had the time of my life discovering hidden gems and trying new foods. My pre-trip process was thorough, and I felt well-prepared for an unforgettable adventure!
